'Infinite sessions' and suchlike

Hello all,

I wish to periodically update my users profile without them having to press a button within the application

I have read this is possible by storing a session key/ their user ID obviously when adding the application for the first time, but I'm not sure how I would use this key with a profile object in face book.net

Can anyone help me with this before I go off and possibly reinvent the wheel :-)

Thank you

I just figured this out this morning :-)

When they first add your app, they need to select "Keep me logged in to X". Then grab and store the FacebookService.Session.SessionKey (this is the infinite session key). If they don't select keep me logged in, the key will expire.

Then to update the profile, use:

FacebookService service = new FacebookService(apiKey, secret, sessionId, userId, null);
service.Profile.SetFbml(null, fbml, null, null);
