The new configuration elements

Adding configuration elements is definitely a step in the right direction, but my question is this: Why do we still need to specify ANYTHING application-specific in the FacebookApplication control? I thought the whole idea behind having the configuration was to avoid that?

The fbsigapi_key parameter is posted in every call to the canvas page - why not use that as the key property in the configuration, and have the application automatically figure out which application configuration is being requested?

There are some things that are still page-scoped - eg. EnableAjax (which outputs a bit of script), Mode (if you've got both FBML and IFrame pages) etc.

I'd like the application choice to not be made from external input - because then if you've got multiple facebook apps in the same asp.net app, you can't be sure if a particular asp.net page was meant for a particular app if you depend on external query string data telling you that.
