TagPrefix - How to get rid of the red underlines?

Sep 27, 2007 at 5:43 PM
The tagPrefix lines in web.config get rid of the red underlines under nodes such as "fb:facebookapplication", but not under say "fb:fbml" because this isn't a server-side control and there is no definition for it in any of the DLLs.

Also, VS tries to parse the ASPX files as HTML documents, so it complains they are malformed.

Is there a good hack to get around this schema issue?

I don't see any red squiggles under the fb:FacebookApplication node (this is in the aspx, not in the web.config). I only see them under things like fb:fbml, since they're not valid HTML.

You can turn off validation in Tools | Options - see under Text Editor | HTML | Validation for the right tools option pane. Unfortunately, these settings are global, and not per project.
